Reagan’s Legacy
Continues to Inspire
Reagan's personality was one of a kind. She was a very spirited person, with a funny sense of humor that she used to make people laugh. When I think about Reagan, and how she lived her short life, I am inspired by her ability to find something good in each person she encountered. I hear many stories from her peers, girls especially, that say, we weren't the best of friends, but I remember that one time she said I looked pretty and it made my day. Or the story that she was always the last person to say goodnight to me every day without fail. Or Reagan always gave me her lunch (and Reagan really loved food!!). And "I miss her hugs" - I do, too. And this: "We were outside on the tennis courts during extension, and she was connected to the speaker that our teacher had. She asked me what I wanted to listen to, and I said shuffle one of your playlists and we'll see what comes on. The moment had no rhyme or reason to be special to me, but it was, and it was because she was asking me and not anyone else." All of these memories about Reagan inspire me to be more like her. Someone able to make another person feel good about themselves, or find a bright spot in their day. And this is the kind of individual we serve and want to support in our efforts.
“Driven by a desire to make a difference, I’m eager to contribute to the Reagan Christine Memorial Fund. I’m inspired by our board’s commitment to evaluating every student applicant and ensuring that support reaches a wide range of deserving individuals. As a dedicated and empathetic community member, I want to help expand our reach and impact.”
